Deb, I'm so sorry that you have lost a near and dear friend. I will miss her though only having known her through blogging..... I still have in my inbox and highlighted so I don't erase her generous offering of how she was appliquing her Piece & Plenty BOM dated last January. I always loved to check in with her to see how she was coming along with that. It was my pleasure to make a block for her quilt. Please let her family know that she touched so many that she never met. She was a sweetheart and I will miss her. May Marlene rest in peace....she is truly home now.

Deb...I can't believe it...even knowing how ill Marlene was it is such a shock...my thoughts are with her family and many friends all over the world....I will miss her humour and generous nature....I will just miss her. I can't possibly imagine how you must be feeling now....take care and may your memories of Marlene be of comfort to you at this time....

Life is ironic because just yesterday I thinking about Mar! I was wondering how she was doing and rembering how she was the first person to comment on my blog! She was so sweet and encouraging and I admired her work.
Even though we never "met", I feel like a part of me is lost!
I am so sorry that I did not know about the quilt blocks for Mar because I would have loved to make one for her! You did a great thing to honor your friend.
You and Mar's family will be in my thoughts and prayers!
